Carmelo graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he played college basketball in the mid-1990s and competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics. After earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1998, he played professional basketball in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic until retiring in 2006. Shortly afterward, he relocated back to Boston and began his mortgage career.
In his down time, Carmelo does the most important thing in his life, which is spending time being a father to his two beautiful sons. When he gets a break, he enjoys networking, working out, listening to music, and playing some basketball.
